Machine Tool Solutions P/L. was established in 1982 by Mr. David Laws. Formerly known as David Laws & Co. P/L., the business was established to provide high quality Machine Tools and Equipment to the Australian Manufacturing Industry.

In 1999, Mr. Ian Nicol purchased the business and the company was remodelled to accomodate the changing needs of the Australian manufacturer. Ian comes from 20 years experience in a family engineering business and has practical experience in Repetition Turning and Milling on both Manual & CNC Machinery.

After visits to several Engineering Exhibitions (EMO, PRODEX & JIMTOF), the company has established close links with several premium manufacturers of specialist machine tools and tooling equipment.

We currently supply equipment for Aerospace, Medical, Dental, Hydraulic Engineering, General Engineering and Repetition Engineering. We also specialise in the fields of Micro Machining and have recently developed a niche market in the CNC Prototyping field with our range of Tormach LLC products from USA.

We have established contacts with several local engineering supply companies, which give us a complimentary range of specialised products which broaden the product range we can offer our customers.

In 2019 Machine Tool Solutions acquired the agencies, stock and customers of Hettler Trading Co. upon the retirement of Mr Sigi Hettler.

In 2021 we became a SANDVIK Coromant authorized distributor in NSW, James Nicol joined Machine Tool Solutions to provide further on-site customer service options.
